Our Policies

OHS & SAFETY POLICY

Occupational Health & Safety Policy issues are viewed with equal importance as other business objectives and therefore will be pursued with the same vigor by all Company employees and its contractors.

Objectives

1. It is the ultimate aim of the Company to prevent all accidents.

2. Occupational Health and Safety procedures are not 'one-off' issues and therefore demand a constant focus by management, employees and contractors.

3. Management will develop an effective and on-going training program. As a part of this program, courses will be held at regular intervals and these training sessions will be attended by management, employees and contractors.

4. Line management, at all times, has the responsibility of ensuring that all Occupational Health & Safety requirements are being observed at their workplace.

5. It is therefore expected that management, employees and contractors will develop a personal responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety procedures which, in part, will be displayed by a caring attitude for the welfare of their fellow workers.

ALCOHOL POLICY

1. Consumption of alcohol/drugs in the workplace is prohibited.

2. Employees taking prescribed drugs which may affect their ability to carry out normal duties should advise their Supervisor prior to starting work.

3. Employees found at work incapable of carrying out their duties because of intoxication by alcohol, or other un prescribed drugs, will face appropriate disciplinary action, which may entail termination of employment with the Company.

4. Any employee who 'conceals or covers' for another employee under the influence of alcohol, or any other drug, will also face disciplinary action.

5. Any employee found in the possession of illegal drugs will be dismissed and the appropriate authorities advised.
